My Demographic

Usually I loath all things church marketing (see toungue speaking t-shirts), but I managed to drive past a pretty creative church sign. It read:

JANUARY SERMON SERIES:
NEW YEARS RESOLU-
BLAH BLAH BLAH!

It pretty much restored my hope in church creativity. All while making me wish I had put a bit more effort into my resolution avoidance. I'm sad to say all it took was a little competition and I was salivating at the mouth with ambition and goals. Anyway, here is my BLAH BLAH BLAH...

1. Read thirty books. (15 classics, 15 others)
2. Go on at least three dates.
3. Keep track of money earned and money spent.
4. Get at least a 3.5 GPA.
5. Follow up on Post Graduation Plans.
6. Make bike riding a habit.
7. Lose 20 pounds.
8. Start a mourning routine.
9. Check two items off my things to do before I die list.
10. Don't move back home. (Dad's house)

So I was going to reply with a message about how church marketing isn't evil and when done correctly brings church to a whole new level...but....then I saw those T-shirts. Wow.

I must go type up a blog about that one. Wow. Good find.

Have you seen Christvertising?

I probably should have said, "most things church marketing." When done right it is actually very impressive.
The portfolio at Holy Cow is reassuring. Keep it up!

Tim, You have great goals for this year. I wish you sucess. Which two "list for life" items do you want to fulfill?
In regards to church marketing I like to look at the strategic advertising of the early church. Live like Jesus by caring for the world around and for each other.

I figure if i aim for five, two will actually happen. Go Ice Fishing, and Watch A Game in Green Bay are on the top of the list.
